Employs a rent-seeking approach to ethnic conflict to analyze the policy implications of ethnic diversity. Consequences of greater ethnic diversity; testable determinants of ethnic conflict; recommendations for decreasing determinants; analysis of the relation between multicultural policies and such conflict.
