Coping Among Rural, Pregnant, Low-Income Women Facing Intimate Partner Violence
This paper examines the coping skills of low-income abused pregnant women in rural Missouri counties. A model of coping is presented using the “double-binding” perspective to understand how relationship status and the unborn/newborn baby influences the way women survive abuse.
