Description

1901 wind tunnel airfoil and lift balance photographed by Orville Wright. An accompanying note by Ivonette Wright Miller states, "The airfoils used in the original wind tunnel were lost for thirty years - from about 1917 to 1947 shortly before Orville Wright died. They are now in the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia - sent there as directed by Orville Wright's will."
