The photograph is of Edward Korn sitting at the controls of a General Aeroplane Company Verville Flying Boat, circa 1916. The airplane was powered by a 6 cylinder, 90 horsepower Maximotor Company engine built by Max Dingfelder in Detroit, Michigan. Edward's wife Elfreda and his daughter Ruth Elizabeth are sitting beside him in the cockpit. This photograph is part of the MS-220 Edward A. Korn Collection.
