Description

The photograph is of the Charles Foster Willard flying a Curtiss aircraft at the Harvard-Boston Aero Meet which was held in Atlantic, Massachusetts from September 3-13, 1910 and was sponsored by the Harvard Aeronautical Society. The letter D is on the bottom of the wing of the biplane which was the letter given to Willard for identification during the meet. Spectators are in the background. The image is the same as item number ms338_07_05 in the form of a glass lantern slide. The number 115 is written on the negative.
