The photograph shows a fountain and palms in the grotto at the National Military Home of Dayton, Ohio. The image is shot looking at the fountain which is located in the center of a round garden. A walking path circles the fountain with palms surrounding the outer edge. Children are standing on a small bridge near the fountain. The photograph is from the sixteenth page of the photobook titled, "National Military Home Dayton" and published by Keyes Souvenir Card Company in Dayton, Ohio circa 1910. The photograph has a handwritten caption on the bottom that reads, "Fountain And Palms In Grotto."
