Description

David Alan Fuchs, Sr. (DOB: January 5, 1945) was drafted into the United States Army on September 20, 1965. He attended antenna and pole school and was stationed at Fort Knox in Kentucky, Fort Ord in California, Fort Gordon in Georgia, Woodbridge, Virginia, and Fort Meade in Missouri. Fuchs was deployed to Nha Trang, Vietnam where he participated in Counteroffensive Phase II and Counteroffensive Phase III. He was awarded the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Gallantry Cross, the Presidential Unit Citation, the Good Conduct Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. He was discharged from the Army on September 20, 1968 at the rank of Specialist.
