Description
Joseph (Joe) R. Smith (DOB: November 10, 1953) enlisted in the Army on May 27, 1953. He attended Officer Candidate School in 1979. Smith was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal, the Noncommissioned Officer's Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon. He retired from the Army as Major (04) on October 31, 1995.
