Discusses the reformulation of a model of residential choice behavior into a more general model of consumer choice behavior. Relationships between residential mobility, central city-suburban conflicts and changes in the spatial pattern of communities within metropolitan regions; Impacts of commuting costs, metropolitan fiscal inequities and nonfiscal community characteristics on the initial population distribution.
