Realization of 2-D State-Space Filters with Fewer Multipliers
It is shown that a reduction in the number of multipliers for hardware realizations of two-dimensional (2-D) state-space digital filters can be achieved. This is enabled by transformation of the given system to a “block diagonal canonical structure.” © 1990 IEEE
