The photograph shows the Second Infantry Regiment Band of the United States Army marching in the parade during the 1909 Wright Brothers Homecoming Celebration. The soldiers were under the command of Colonel Francis Mansfield and marched to Dayton from Ft. Thomas, Kentucky. The band is marching through a residential area and is being viewed by spectators who are on the side of the street. The drum major leads the band followed by a row of musicians playing trombones and a tuba. The remainder of the band is blurry and can not be identified.
