Octave Chanute's photograph a left rear view of the Wright 1902 Glider at the beginning of a glide at Kill Devil Hills. Dan Tate is on the left and has just released the left wing strut of the glider. One of the Wright Brothers is piloting the glider but is not identified. Note on reverse by Chanute "9. The flight begun."
