Description

Number 77 in the series Les Pionniers de l'Air", this printed postcard shows Wilbur Wright in full flight in his Wright Model A Flyer before a small crowd of dignitaries. The location is Les Hunaudieres race course outside Le Mans. One of several postcards and photographs sent to Orville Wright by Colonel D.L. Putt, Wright Field, 1946. Col. Putt stated that he found them in going through a desk in a house in St. Germain where he was billeted from January to August, 1945. The photograph is attributed to C. Malcuit of Paris.
