The photograph is of the wreck of a Benoist airplane flown by Peter Glasser and Ray S. Wheeler at Kinloch Field near St. Louis, Missouri on May 13, 1912. Five unidentified men are observing the wreckage that is pressed up against a fence. "Benoist School Machine 5. Wreck at Kinloch Mo. 5-13-1912," is written across the bottom of the image. This photograph is part of the MS-220 Edward A. Korn Collection.
