1/4 left hand side view from above of the Aeronca 65CA "Super Chief," a civilian aircraft, in flight. Typewritten note on the back "The Aeronca Chief is ready for full production the minute Uncle Sam says O.K. A new and finer Chief also is flying. All possible parts such as wings, landing gear, tail surfaces, cowling, engine -- in short, nearly everything but the fuselage -- are interchangeable with the Aeronca Tandem. The new Chief and the Tandem are being test flown and should be NC'd within the next few weeks." This photograph was taken around 1941.
