Description
A Gaston, Indiana postcard wishing good luck featuring carnations and swastika. Sent from Neva Broyles to Milton Wright in 1909.
Pre-WWII the swastika was a symbol of peace and good luck in many parts of the world. This meaning was stripped from the symbol in most of the world due to it's association with the German Nazi regime during WWII.
