Description

A postcard featuring performers. Sent from George to Mrs. L. Corbet in 1905. Collected by Milton Wright.

Given the message, the setting, and comparing photographs of the actor Johnny Ray with the man standing in the middle of the photograph, it is quite possible this is a photograph of Johnny Ray as the Janitor in the touring musical “Down the Pike” accompanied by the musical’s chorus and possibly stagehands using the Act 1 set of an apartment lobby as their backdrop.
