Description

Louis J. Martin (DOB: March 18, 1934) enlisted in the Air Force in October of 1954. He served with the 310th Air Commandos. Martin served in several locations: Lackland AFB in Texas, Newfoundland, Greenland, Randolph AFB in Texas, Brooks Field in Texas, Nha Trang in Vietnam, Gwangju in South Korea, Stuttgart in Germany, Grissom AFB in Indiana, Norton AFB in California, and Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio. Some of his duties included the transport of VIPs during his time at Randolph AFB and the transport of the deceased in Vietnam. Martin was awarded 20 air medals for his service. He retired in October 1974 as a Master Sergeant.
