Description

William (Bill) R. Corkum (DOB: June 3, 1965) enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on October 24, 1983. He served with the 5th Battalion, 10th Marines Motor Transport Section and with the 2nd Marine Division HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle) Fielding Team. Corkum was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, the Futenma Air Station, Okinawa, Japan, and at Camp Johnson, North Carolina. He was awarded the Overseas Ribbon. Corkum was discharged from the USMC on October 24, 1989 at the rank of Lance Corporal (E-3).
