Abstract
This article illustrates the application and evaluation of feminist community organizing principles by a college women’s center during a conservative backlash: the early to mid-1990s. It describes how the students organized around the issue of sexual assault on their campus, analyzes the power of the backlash to hinder organizing efforts, and discusses why feminist community organizing is important for women.
