MS-147: Martha McClellan Brown
The photograph is of cadets in service uniforms and townspeople watching the fire in the school building of Miami Military Institute. The fire broke out while cadets and faculty were attending Sunday church services on December 6, 1903, causing extensive damage to the school building. Smoke is seeping out of the building and sections of the roof and porch show fire damage. This photograph is from an album in the Martha McClellan Brown Collection.
