MS-147: Martha McClellan Brown
The photograph shows Miami Military Institute cadets walking on a sidewalk beside a street, ca. 1903. The majority of the cadets are wearing service uniforms and several young men in civilian clothes are walking among the cadets. The cadet at the head of the line with two stripes on his arm is Kleon Thaw Brown the youngest brother of Orvon Graff Brown, founder and president of Miami Military Institute. Orvon Graff Brown is standing near a horse and carriage on the far right of the image. This photograph is from an album in the Martha McClellan Brown Collection.
