MS-147: Martha McClellan Brown
The photograph is of the Miami Military Institute champion football team, 1904. The cadets are posed indoors, seated and standing, wearing football uniforms and sweaters bearing the school insignia. The cadet seated, front row center, is holding a football with, "M.M.I. 04. Champion" inscribed. Kleon Thaw Brown the youngest brother to Orvon Graff Brown, president and founder of the Miami Military Institute, is the cadet standing in the back row second from the right. Kleon is standing beside the cadet wearing the service uniform. This photograph is from an album in the Martha McClellan Brown Collection.
