Description

A double exposed image of the medals ceremony during the 1909 Wright Brothers Homecoming Celebration -- 1909 at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. The first exposure shows Wilbur Wright at the medals ceremony walking up the path to the stage. The second exposure shows Wilbur, Orville, and Bishop Milton Wright on the stage during the ceremony. In the grandstands, school children are clothed in red, white, and blue to form a United States of America Flag. The right side of the image shows Wilbur arriving and a line of horse drawn carriages. To the left of the carriages are soldiers from the Second and Third Regiments of the Ohio National Guard and the crowd that witnessed the event.
