Description

Daniel M. Semsel (DOB: September 6, 1969), joined the Air Force in January 1989 as a Commissioned Officer. He served in the Persian Gulf War, the Iraqi War, and the Afghan War and was a part of Operation Desert Storm, Operation Southern Watch, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. Semsel served in Saudi Arabia, Oklahoma, Nevada, Iceland, New Jersey, Arizona, Maryland, Panama, Hawaii, North Dakota, Missouri, Virginia, Afghanistan, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, and most recently with the 88th Air Base Wing at Wright-Patterson AFB. He was awarded the Bronze Star, the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal with valor, the Air Force Achievement Medal, and the Air Force Combat Action Medal. Semsel retired from the Air Force on May 22, 2013 as a Colonel (O-6).
