African and African American Studies Newsletter

The African and African American Studies Program has published two separate newsletters. The first publication was called the African and African American Studies Newsletter. In 2015 the AAFS created a new publication called Maarifa, to replace the original African and African American Studies Newsletter. Maarifa is the Kiswahili word for "knowledge." Both newsletters focus on highlighting upcoming events, course offerings, news, faculty reflections, achievements of the African and African American Studies Program on campus, and more.
