Inspired by the innovative spirit of the Wright brothers, the College of Engineering and Computer Science is always pushing the envelope with research in emerging technologies, such as alternative energy sources, nanotechnologies, wireless communications and devices, and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).

The department's mission is to educate an enterprising community of leaders who seek to improve the human condition by bringing discovery and innovation to the world.
