Description

The Evening Item was a daily newspaper published by the Wright Brothers' Company, Item Publishing Co. This paper, published from April 1890 through July 1890, focused on world and local events. The front page of this issue features stories about the possible replacement of the Interstate Commerce Railway Association with the Western Railroad Association taking its place, a train collision with casualties at the Kansas City railroad crossing, and more. On the fourth page there is an article on the Pasteur Institute in New York and their treatment process for hydrophobia. Also included in this issue are local and regional news as well as advertisements.
