The University Art Galleries function as an educational resource to the University and Dayton metropolitan communities. It seeks to fill an educational and cultural gap in the region by exhibiting exceptional contemporary art in a variety of media, and implementing tools such as catalogues, public lectures, brochures, and workshops to communicate the concepts and methods behind the exhibited work. It underscores its outreach objectives by being free and open to the public 6 days a week and during all events.
