The resolution and preamble adopted by the Philadelphia County Medical Society regarding the issue of the status of women practitioners of medicine focuses on whether the society should encourage women to become practitioners and whether they should support women practitioners already in the field. This pamphlet includes a response by Ann Preston, M.D., dean of the Women's Medical College of Pennsylvania at that time.
