    Description

    The photograph shows the Miami Military Institute cadets in khaki service uniform posed by the horse-drawn excursion wagon, 1905. Cadets are standing in front of and seated on the excursion wagon, which was used for extracurricular outings including fishing trips, picnics and visits to points of interest. The man standing, far left, is Orvon Graff Brown, founder and president of Miami Military Institute. Cadet on the 2nd right of Orvon is Kleon Thaw Brown, his youngest brother. Caption on the photo reads, "NO. 12 A. KAHKIE. M.M.I. 05. E.M.S.". This photograph is from an album in the Martha McClellan Brown Collection.
