Description

The photograph shows the cadet military encampment, Miami Military Institute, ca. 1903. Tents are located in a wooded area. Cadets in service uniforms and carrying rifles are in various locations on the perimeter of the tented area. Orvon Graff Brown, founder and president of MMI, is seated with an unidentified man near the tents in the center of the photo. The cadet standing on the far right without a rifle is Kleon Thaw Brown the youngest brother of Orvon Graff Brown. This photograph is from an album in the Martha McClellan Brown Collection.
