Description

The photograph shows Bernard Whelan sitting in the pilot's seat of the Dayton-Wright O.W.I. Aerial Coupe at the Dayton-Wright Airplane Company, circa 1919. Two unidentified people sit in the back seat where passengers would normally sit. The aircraft is in the factory and still in the process of being constructed. The wings of the aircraft are not covered and the engine compartment is open. The tail section of the fuselage is not installed.
