Description

The image shows soldiers with the pack train of the Second Infantry Regiment, United States Army marching in the parade during the 1909 Wright Brothers Homecoming Celebration. The soldiers were under the command of Colonel Francis Mansfield and marched to Dayton from Ft. Thomas, Kentucky. The pack train carried the weapons and supplies of the regiment to the Montgomery County fairgrounds where they camped for the two day event.
