Description

Octave Chanute's photograph of the Wright 1902 glider just after release of the wing struts by Dan Tate and one of the Wright Brothers at Kill Devil Hills. Dan Tate is in the foreground. The pilot is one of the Wright Brothers but unidentified. Note on reverse by Chanute "8. Just let go. Note accident to Mr Tate."
