Sitting in the front row, left to right: Orville Wright, Reverend Charles L. Seasholes, Stanley Allyn, Under Secretary of the Navy James V. Forrestal, Edward A. Deeds, an unidentified Naval officer representing the Navy, Helen Jepson, and Carl Kindl. The ceremony was held in the National Cash Register Company auditorium.
