    Description

    The rudder, left, and launching derricks, right, frame the photograph of reporters and cameramen at Camp d'Auvours. As word spread of Wilbur Wright's flight tests in France, so did the enthusiasm of the French newspapers. After Wilbur's first week in France, he and Orville had achieved international fame. From the Leon Bollee Album presented to Orville Wright July 17, 1920. This photograph was taken between 08/1908 and 01/1909.
