Description
Photograph of men pulling the rope to raise the weight of the launching derrick at Camp d'Auvours. The photo is slightly underexposed making identification of the men difficult. Someone, probably Wilbur Wright, is working on the plane in the background. Leon Bollee is directing the men. From the Leon Bollee Album presented to Orville Wright July 17, 1920. This photograph was taken between 08/21/1908 and 01/02/1909.
