Description
A group of spectators and officials gather to watch Wilbur Wright attempt to win the Aero Club de la Sarthe prize for height at Camp d'Auvours. The required conditions were 30 meters, and on this day, Wilbur Wright ascended nearly 70 meters. Leon Bollee and Rene Pellier are seen in this photograph standing by the altitude balloon used to measure the 30 meter mark. From the Leon Bollee Album presented to Orville Wright July 17, 1920.
