Description
The photograph is of the crash site of Claude Grahame-White's Farman biplane at the Harvard-Boston Aero Meet which was held in Atlantic, Massachusetts from September 3-13, 1910 and was sponsored by the Harvard Aeronautical Society. Automobiles and a sign for Pall Mall Cigarettes are in the background. The image is the same as item number ms338_02_04 which is in the form of a glass plate negative. The number 229 is written on the negative. The image is similar to item number ms338_05_23.
