Description

The photograph is of a group of aviators standing near a train car. The group listed from left to right is Arthur Stone holding a newspaper in his hand, Schaefer, George Beatty, Eugene Ely, and Claude Graham-White. Schaefer is believed to be Arthur Stone's manager. The image was taken at the Harvard-Boston Aero Meet which was held in Atlantic, Massachusetts from August 26 through September 4, 1911 and was sponsored by the Harvard Aeronautical Society and the Boston Daily Globe. The image is the same as item number ms338_01_13 which is in the form of a glass plate negative.
