Description

The photograph is of Harry Atwood standing on a small cart while holding a large pole with weights hanging from it across his back. From left to right Henry Arnold, Arthur Welsh, Thomas DeWitt Milling, Orville Wright, Oscar Brindley and Calbraith Rodgers (seated) watch as Atwood tests his balance. The group is standing in front of a hangar with a Wright Model B Flyer parked in the doorway at Huffman Prairie near Dayton, Ohio in 1911. The number 13 is written on the left side of the negative. This item is part of the MS-355 Charles Wald Collection.
