    Description

    A glass plate stereoview slide with handwritten label 4312 verdun voie sacree (4312, Verdun, Sacred Way). A view of supply truck and French Soldiers walking on the Sacred Way. The Sacred Way comprised the main road supply artery used by the French Army and which ran from Bar-le-Duc to Verdun. The photograph was taken between July 28, 1914 and November 11, 1918 in France during World War I.
