Description
A portrait of Colonel Thurman H. Bane of the United States Army. Bane founded the Air School of Application which is the predecessor of the Air Force Institute of Technology. The school was located at McCook Field in Dayton, Ohio. This image is believed to have been taken between 1914 and 1918.
