Description
Exterior view of the Byzantine cross-in-square style architecture of the Panagia church (dedicated to the Virgin Mary), late 10th century, at the Hosios Loukas Monastery, as seen from the east. The Byzantine monastery of Hosios Loukas is located near the town of Distomo, in Boeotia, Greece. The later octagon-dome of the katholikon church (dedicated to Saint Luke) is barely visible at the upper left of the image.
