Description

Robert L. Brocklehurst (DOB: July 17, 1920) was commissioned into the United States Army Air Corps in September 1941. Mr. Brocklehurst was a pilot in the Army Air Corps during the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. He was stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska through 1943. He was in based in Okinawa Japan during the Korean War and later became Base Commander at Stewart Air Force Base in New York. Mr. Brocklehurst retired in 1968 having achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
