Abstract
The binary gaseous diffusion coefficients D12 at 1 - atm pressure of CH4 and CF4 with cyclohexane, methylcyclohexane, benzene, and toluene were measured at 10°, 25°, 40°, 55°, and 70°C by the capillary tube method of Stefan. The predicted diffusion coefficients calculated with Lennard-Jones (6,12) potential parameters in the Chapman-Enskog approximate kinetic theory in conjunction with the Hudson-McCoubrey combining rule were in satisfactory agreement with experiment.
