Abstract
The Dayton Chamber of Commerce under the auspices of the "Challenge ’95" group commissioned the project to evaluate Dayton-Springfield in comparison with 44 other metro areas of interest to the Chamber. The purpose was to provide a picture of where Dayton-Springfield stands vis-a-vis the other metros with regard to its economic and allied areas, such as working environment, etc. The project was discussed before it achieved its final form in May ’92 and work started on June 15th ’92. The project is meant to serve the needs of the "Challenge ’95" group while also being the internship project of the researchers towards their Academic degree.
