Solution of underdetermined Sylvester equations in sensor array signal processing

Abstract
We propose efficient solution of an underdetermined matrix equation. The matrix equations studied here appear in the study of subspace-based high-resolution multiparameter direction-of-arrival estimation. The proposed gradient-based technique is at least an order-of-magnitude computational improvement over the existing approaches. Simulation results are provided to illustrated the proposed technique.
