Abstract
In this paper we describe a computationally robust method for checking if a given complex number λ is a transmission zero of a single-input, multi-output (or a multi-input, single-output) system. Such a test is useful in determining if a transfer function matrix G(s) vanishes at s = λ. The latter finds applications in determining fixed modes of decentralized systems.
